Air Fryer Stuffed Peppers

2 large red bell peppers

2 large yellow bell peppers

1 pound hot Italian sausage

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

3/4 cup spaghetti sauce

1/4 cup chopped Roma tomato
-
1 1/4 cups cooked rice

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Direction

Gather all ingredients. Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C), according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Cut tops off bell peppers; remove stems, seeds, and membranes; set aside.

Add Italian sausage, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and garlic powder to a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir until sausage is browned, breaking up clumps with a spatula, 7 to 10 minutes.

Stir in spaghetti sauce, Roma tomato, rice, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.

Spoon mixture into bell peppers.

Place stuffed peppers in the basket of the air fryer and fry until peppers are soft, 15 to 20 minutes.
