Breakfast Grits

Ingreadient
  • 3 cups water

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup hominy grits

  • ½ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • freshly ground black pepper

Direction
  1. Gather all ingredients.

  2. Bring water and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Whisk in grits; continue to whisk for 1 minute.

  3. When the mixture comes to a boil again, turn the heat to low. Stir frequently, cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

  4. Remove grits from the heat and add cheese, butter, and pepper; mix well.

  5. Stir until butter and cheese are melted.
